The lnstàllafion of this liff is simplified by its lightweight design and simple operàtion. In the pages that follow, we will take you step-by-step through the entire installation sequence. We urge you to read this manual before attåmpting an installation. Before you begin,., The SWINGÅR can be mounted to either wood or concrete pilings. The pilings are the foundation of the liff and must be able to carry the load of the lift and the boat to be lifted. The piling cànnot be free standing and must be tied back to the dock or seawall. Local or National code and cîmmon practice varies from area to area. Consult the SWINGÅR sales literature or call Hi-Tide for piling specificàtions. Step I: installing Mount Piling Mîunt Piilng top must be a minimum of 45" above dock and a mlnimum of 8" in diameter. Standing on the dock and looêing at the piling, mount bracket on the right slde of the piiing fo rotate the craff clockwise or the left side of the pillng to rîtate counter clockwise. Locate bottom of brackåt P above deck level for rotation clearance. Thnr-bîlt with (4) 314" diameter bolts. Use curvåd washers on backside of wood pilings or flat washers on squàre concrete pilings. As a minimum the fîllowing copper wire sizes must be observed to preclude possiblå voltage drop and damage to electrical componånts. f M0torH.P. ?100 Feet 200 Feet 300 Feet 400 Feet 1 Switch should be mîunted with the electrical cords facing downward. Fîllow wiring instructions affixed to motors andlor råmote controls if applicable. Test switch in up direction. If necessàry, follow wi ing diagram on side of motor to reverse direction of motor .
